These worksheets have pictures of the Earth and we’ll be naming the continents and oceans on them. So let’s get started!
First, let’s talk about continents. Continents are large landmasses on Earth. There are seven continents, and they have some really interesting names. Here they are:
- Africa
- Antarctica
- Asia
- Europe
- North America
- South America
- Australia
Now, let’s talk about oceans. Oceans are huge bodies of water that cover most of our planet. There are five major oceans, and here they are:
- Atlantic Ocean
- Indian Ocean
- Southern Ocean
- Pacific Ocean
- Arctic Ocean
When you look at the worksheet, you’ll see a picture of Earth with all the continents and oceans on it. Your job is to write the correct name of each continent and ocean next to the correct part of the picture.
For example, you’ll see a large landmass near the top of the picture. That’s North America. So you’d write “North America” next to it. Then, you’ll see a big body of water on the right side of North America. That’s the Atlantic Ocean. So you’d write “Atlantic Ocean” next to it.
Keep doing this for all the continents and oceans until you’ve labeled them all. Once you’re done, you can check your answers with a friend or your teacher to see how well you did. And remember, the more you practice, the better you’ll get at knowing where all the continents and oceans are on the map!
